IT MATTERS
"Since the start of YoungLife, God's hand In my life has been way more visible including in the lives of others around me. The first time I noticed it, I remember the biggest feeling of hope I had ever felt in my lifetime. Some have become comfortable sharing their faith, which is great because this has set the tone in our groups to look at what God has done to us & through us! His promises hold way more truth to me than before and the best part? Our YoungLife group has gotten even more new faces than last year." - Jacob F.
IT MATTERS
I was introduced to Young Life right around Thanksgiving time my junior year of high school. Why was my first club so memorable? Well, the opening event included a turkey frozen solid, promptly converted to a "bowling ball" after drilling three holes in it and setting pins in its path. The inclusivivty and energy of the leaders and students I met immediately peaked my interest in a unique way that kept me coming back for more. As a girl who grew up in the church and has always chased after Biblical knowledge as an individual, I've been blessed with a great foundation to my faith. However, at that point in my life, lacked a grasp of true community and vulnerability amongst believers -- a place and people to call my own.
Once I transitioned to college, Young Life took on added meaning to me. Within the secular environment of my school, I once again struggled to find a sense of belonging and purpose that I knew my identity as a daughter of Christ was calling me to. I understood the impact Young Life had on me through my high school years and could not be more grateful for the opportunity to pour out the same blessings and wisdom that I received. - Elise
